Workshop on the Authorisation of ESG Rating Providers

ESMA hosted a workshop on the authorisation process for ESG Rating Agencies under the ESG Rating Regulation (2024/3005).

The session outlined ESMA's approach to processing applications for authorisation and provide insights into the key regulatory requirements and their implementation.

The workshop took place on 31 March 2026 and was primarily intended for firms planning to apply for authorisation as an ESG Rating Provider.
