Data is key to understanding the markets, their features and risks. Data is also critical to effective supervision both at the national and European level. ESMA data activities and expertise encompass the entire data lifecycle, including data governance, regulation, standardisation, data quality and analysis, sharing and publishing both granular and aggregated statistical data as well as supervision of reporting entities.
