Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
ESMA is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating and maintaining a diverse, equitable and inclusive working environment in sync with the values and principles outlined in our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Strategy.
The DE&I Strategy aims to provide a solid framework for the next few years identifying the areas where the institution can direct its organisational efforts towards providing such an environment.
Among our priorities (2024-2027):
Advancing diversity in recruitment – diverse workforce, geographical balance and applications from all qualified candidates, irrespective of their age, gender, ethnicity or social origin, political or religious affiliation, disability or sexual orientation.
Raising awareness and fostering an inclusive behaviour
Developing monitoring tools
Embedding and linking DE&I
In the broader context, ESMA stands by the EU Commission’s Gender Equality Strategy to make significant progress towards a gender-equal Europe by 2025. In addition, it takes a proactive approach to diversity and inclusion, in line with the Charter on Diversity and Inclusion developed by the EU Agencies Network as well as in accordance with Article 1d of the Staff Regulations.
