Public hearing on comprehensive approach for the simplification of financial transaction reporting

ESMA organised an online public hearing on streamlining financial transaction reporting in the context of its interim report on the Call for Evidence on a comprehensive approach for the simplification of financial transaction reporting. It provided an opportunity for interested market participants to receive a presentation by ESMA staff on the recent publication of the interim report and to share their views and input on how best to simplify and streamline reporting across frameworks. The hearing took place on 28 May 2026. Participants also participated in a Q&A session at the end of the presentation. The event will be preceded by a workshop with the stakeholders who provided input to the cost-benefit analysis.
