ESMA is organising the webinar to share the findings on the Report on total costs of investing in UCITS and AIFs.

This ad-hoc report provides, for the first time, a comprehensive assessment of the total costs charged to investors in EEA investment funds, including an innovative analysis of distribution costs. It complements ESMA’s annual monitoring of the performance and costs of EU investment products, and responds to a request from the EU Institutions.

With an unprecedented insight on the fund distribution landscape in the EEA, it fills an existing knowledge gap by providing an assessment of the total costs charged to investors in European investment funds, namely Undertakings in Collective Investments in Transferable Securities (UCITS) and Alternative Investment funds (AIF), and an analysis of the cost drivers for UCITS and AIFs and disparities across them.
