Open Hearing on MAR Guidelines on Information expected or required to be disclosed on commodity derivative markets and commodity spot markets
Auditorium, ESMA, 103 Rue de Grenelle – 75007, Paris
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) will hold an open hearing on its Consultation Paper published on 30 March 2016 on draft Guidelines to be issued by ESMA under the remit of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on market abuse (MAR).
The draft MAR Guidelines proposed for consultation aim to establish a non-exhaustive indicative list of information which is reasonably expected or is required to be disclosed in accordance with legal or regulatory provisions in Union or national law, market rules, contract, practice or custom, on the relevant commodity derivatives markets or related spot markets (Article 7(5) of MAR).
The purpose of the Consultation Paper is to obtain views and feed-back that help ESMA in finalising the draft Guidelines.
This hearing will be of interest to all persons dealing with commodity derivatives or related spot commodity derivative contracts in the context of the prohibition of insider dealing under MAR.
