Open hearing on MAR Guidelines

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) will hold an open hearing on its Consultation Paper published on the 28th of January 2016 on two sets of draft Guidelines to be issued by ESMA under the remit of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on market abuse (MAR).
The two sets of draft MAR Guidelines proposed for consultation regard persons receiving market soundings (Article 11(11) of MAR) and legitimate interests of issuers to delay the disclosure of inside information and situations in which the delay of disclosure is likely to mislead the public (Article 17(11) of MAR).
The purpose of the Consultation Paper is to obtain views and feed-back that help ESMA in finalising the two sets of Guidelines.
This hearing will be of interest to all persons potentially receiving market soundings and to all issuers subject to the obligation to disclose inside information under MAR.
