The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s financial markets regulator and supervisor, has published a package of materials under the Prospectus Regulation to reflect changes introduced by the Listing Act. The measures aim to promote supervisory convergence and contribute to ESMA’s simplification and burden-reduction efforts.

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU’s financial markets regulator and supervisor, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to facilitate cooperation and exchange of information in relation to the recognition of central counterparties (CCPs) established in India and supervised by SEBI.
Technology, use of data and simplification of reporting requirements will be at the centre of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Data Day 2026, taking place on 24 November in Paris.
Data in the SIU: from burden to opportunity
ESMA organises this second edition of the Data Day to engage with stakeholders and discuss strategic initiatives related to supervisory reporting and regulatory disclosures, and to place these initiatives in the broader context of the Market Integration and Supervision Package (MISP) and the push towards simplification and burden reduction.
This event is part of ESMA’s ongoing dialogue with the industry and the regulatory community, helping it to develop and refine its strategic priorities in the coming years.
