Competent authorities responsible for non-financial counterparties
Pursuant to Article 10(5) of Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (EMIR), each Member State shall designate an authority responsible for ensuring that non-financial counterparties (NFC) above the clearing threshold complies with the EMIR obligations applicable to them.
Although ESMA does not have an obligation to publish this list, it is considered a useful guidance for NFC to know the competent authority established in each Member State. The list below will be updated when a change to a designated competent authority occurs.
The order of protocol for the Member States is alphabetical, based on the original written form of the short name of each country.
